Every day lived is beautiful. We take images of special events and new places we visit. What about the rest of the days that are equally awesome ? We don’t remember to take snapshots of our everyday life and therefore miss the awesome moments of everyday life. How many of us remember how life was 6 months ago ? Vlogpad is built to help you with this.

Vlogpad allows you to take short (about 30 seconds) videos of your everyday life. When you schedule vlogs (Video Logs), Vlogpad schedules alarms at random times within your specified time. When the alarm goes off, you will be prompted to record a short video about what’s going on around you. Over a period of time, you will have a collage of your everyday life.

Please remember that this app is still in development. If something does not work as intended, please send an email to the address provided in the Contact Us section. Please do not rate us low if something fails. We are working to make sure the app works as intended.

This month, I’m trying to fundraise for teachers in schools that don’t have proper funding. I would love it if you guys could spend a few minutes helping a teacher help a class of children learn, live and play !
For ages, mustached men have terrorized kids. For a change, me and my friends in office are going to grow a mustache for the whole month and embarrass ourselves to help fundraise for this cause. Just like you guys right now, I was doubtful if I should do this. But last year, I realized this is the best thing I ever did. I was helping a friend fundraise for his mustache and saw this project > http://www.donorschoose.org/project/rising-junior-architects/651087/ . The teacher wanted to take her kids to a Lego Land so they can play with Lego kids and learn to build. This project had about 200 bucks to fundraise last time and I decided to fully fund it. The teacher replied communicated to us about the project and let us know that she was taking her kids to the Lego land. I thought I felt connected, but the best part was yet to come. A couple of days before my 25th birthday, I received the best birthday gift in my life. The kids I funded sent back a few drawings about their trip. I’ve attached scanned images of the drawings so you guys can enjoy too smile ..

I hope that you guys would help me fund a few projects on my fundraising page ( http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=257403 ). It’s simple – go through the projects listed there and fund the project that you guys loved. Also, please leave your encouraging words so I feel lesser embarrassed about this mustache. This is the first time ever that I’m growing any form of facial hair, so I need your support to feel less awkward. Oh yeah, It’s been a week since I started growing and I have to confess that it pricks and is itchy  ..

So, I started writing this new script that automatically generates an image with the latest loans at http://kiva.org using Kiva’s public API. This image can be attached in email signatures and the image is updated every time you make new loans and therefore, if you saw this image after making a loan, the new loan would appear here.

Example:

You could get your version of this image too. Just replace “{LENDER-ID}” with your lender ID and “{MESSAGE}” with the message you would like to add to the signature ( my above image has “I share at kiva.org” ).

Also, new loans can take up to an hour to update. This is because I am storing the image in the memcache once generated to make it faster and to avoid toomany pings to the Kiva API. The TTL ( Time to Live ) of this is 1 hour.
